I was very excited to welcome my first professional client into my Reiki Studio. She is a professional Tarot reader at the metaphysical store I frequent, and we got to talking and she mentioned that she needed some energy work done. So I handed her my card and we set up her first appointment.
Once we settled in and she was relaxing on the table I began doing reiki at her head, which is where I like to begin. I stepped away for a moment to spray my hands with an cleansing healer’s spray, told her what I was doing, and she said it felt like someone was still at her head giving her energy! Since she was comfortable talking about intuitive matters, I mentioned that as a practitioner I have a Reiki Guide who helps me on a spiritual level with my growth in reiki, and he might be helping with the session.
I continued to do hand placements on her torso when she told me that she just got a visual image of my Reiki Guide, and proceeded to describe exactly what I saw the first time my Guide revealed himself to me! I’ve always been someone who tests and questions, so part of me was always likely to believe that my Reiki Guide was just a figment of my imagination. This experience during my first professional session totally reinforced for me the reality of the metaphysical universe, and that we are not alone, we do have helpers on our path.
I’m so happy that I had that happen, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to share my Reiki story with you here.

My boyfriend and I have just been attuned to Reiki 1 at our Reiki master Katherine Wheeler’s home at Ubud, Bali. On our way back to the hotel in the car, we held hands as usual, just relaxing, not even thinking of reiki. The moment we clasped our hands together, there was extreme buzzing of energy in our palms! Reiki really brings our relationship up to a whole new level =)

Interesting blog post. What would you say was the most important Reiki factor?
i am curently doing level 1 reiki, i have experienced this buzzing myself when giveing reiki, i really believe in the power of reiki,ive also read alot of the healing storys, for some reason i cannot read them without crying,i totolly believe in reiki now, and hope i can be as good at healing.
i was around 11 years old when i received my first reiki. It was done by a lady called linda who attuned my mum through the energy to her master degree! I had a really sore knee for days before it, i could barely walk.. When she started i felt this overwhelmin urge to laugh it was incredible & after it my knee was absolutely fine!
my mum attuned me last year, im 17 now and into my second degree. When she attuned me, 3 times in each attunement i felt hands that weren’t my mothers firmly on my shoulders pushing this powerful energy through me. It physically shook my body. After it my mum was askin what i felt and why i was rocking about so violently! It felt amazing though & i know whoever had their hands on my was shifting energies & liftin me to a higher level.
Reikis always had a very strong effect on my. I spaces me out if i don’t ground myself and lifts deep depression. I love it!!!!
